Ventricular Fibrillation tampa cardio

Ventricular Fibrillation happens without warning and stops the heart from working.

Ventricular fibrillation is an increased rate chaotic heart rhythm that takes place in the lower chambers of the heart. In cases of VF, the heart loses the ability to effectively pump blood. This results in an almost immediate drop in blood pressure which results in a loss of consciousness.

If the heart is not restored to a normal rhythm it will result in death. Sudden Cardiac Arrest is caused by ventricular fibrillation. It is responsible for 50% of all heart-based deaths. Often a heart attack (blockage of the arteries in the heart) can lead to VF.

An external defibrillator can be used to deliver a quick shock that can restart the heart. If you experience heart or chest pain, never take any chances. Go directly to your nearest emergency room. Do not drive yourself. Get a friend, co-worker, or family member to do so or call 911 and allow an ambulance to help get you there safely.

Nearly 25% of all deaths are attributed to heart problems. Sudden cardiac death encompasses 7 million deaths per year. It is vital that you take care of your cardiac health. Seeing a cardiologist proactively is never a bad idea. Some heart-based issues can progress seemingly with no noticeable symptoms.
