Our physicians maintain Board Certifications and are Affiliate Associate Professors in the USF College of Medicine, Department of Cardiology Our office labs are certified by ICAEL, ICANL, and ICAVL. Our advanced in-office testing includes a Phillips iE33 which allows us to perform 3D echocardiograms along with strain and speckle tracking. We also perform stress echocardiograms, nuclear stress testing (using a GVI nuclear stress machine which allows the patient the comfort of sitting up during testing), exercise stress testing, micro T wave Alternans, electrocardiograms, Holter monitoring, event monitoring, tilt table testing, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, and pacemaker/ICD checks. more

Dr. Alaa Boulad is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and peripheral vascular interventionalist specializing in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, as well as advanced diagnostic and stress testing procedures. He completed his medical training in Syria and the United States, with fellowships at Tulane University and Ascension Providence Hospital/Michigan State University, and joined Tampa Cardiovascular Associates in 2025.

He holds 3 Board Certifications in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, and in Internal Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). Dr. Sawar is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University Of South Florida School Of Medicine. He has a keen interest in structured heart disease and is a senior member of TAVR team which also performs MitraClip procedures. Dr. Sawar also performs Peripheral intervention, Vein intervention, Watchman procedure, Pacemaker Implant, Defibrillator Implant and performs complex angioplasty procedures of the heart.
Dr. Mahmaljy joined Tampa Cardiovascular Associates in 2022. He completed internal medicine training at the Southern University of Illinois in Springfield Illinois and a cardiovascular fellowship at Geisinger Commonwealth in Danville, Pennsylvania. Following this, he completed interventional and peripheral vascular training at the University of Connecticut at Hartford Hospital. He has an interest in complex coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular imaging. Dr. Mahmaljy is bilingual fluent in both English and Arabic.

Dr. Feliz worked for several years at the VA medical centers in Tampa and Bay Pines. He is currently practicing at Florida Hospital-Tampa, Florida Hospital-Wesley Chapel, and Tampa Community Hospital (former Town & Country).
Dr. Feliz is Board Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular disease, Internal Medicine, and Geriatric Medicine. He has professional memberships with The American College of Cardiology, The Tampa Bay Latin American Medical Society, and Colegio de Médicos de PR. He has special interests in Cardiac Catheterizations, Pacemaker, Echocardiography, and Venous Ablation. Dr. Feliz is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Dr Alaa Boulad is an interventional cardiologist and peripheral vascular interventionalist who joined Tampa Cardiovascular associates team in 2025 He is board certified in internal medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional cardiology He specializes in percutaneous coronary and peripheral vascular interventions.
Dr. Boulad received his Medical Degree from the University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria. He moved to the United States to pursue his post graduate and advanced training. Dr. Boulad Completed his Internal Medicine training at The University of Texas Health and Science Center at Houston, Houston,TX. He received Cardiology training at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, followed by Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Ascension Providence Hospital/Michigan state University College of Human Medicine in Detroit, MI.
Dr. Boulad performs Heart catheterizations, Coronary artery interventions, Peripheral arterial angiograms and interventions (carotid, renal, iliac, femoral, popliteal & below the knee), diagnostic procedures including trans-thoracic and trans-esophageal echocardiograms, Peripheral vascular ultrasounds and all types of Cardiac stress testing, as well as Cardiovascular Disease consultation and management. He has a special interest in Cardiogenic shock management. In his Free time Dr Boulad enjoys hiking, bicycle riding and working out.
